My last post was about presents. In particular it was about how I dislike material, physical stuff for a present. But there was one particular exception in my life that I still highly appreciate.
At the end of the year 2012 I trained one colleague of mine in Luxoft Moscow to apply for a position in New York within the company. It was some PL/SQL training that he definitely needed to be a Support Engineer in Deutsche Bank’s team.
By the end of this training he successfully passed an interview and his new position was approved.
I didn’t ask for any specific thing for a present, yet I got one of the most useful, compact and convenient things I have ever had:
Leatherman Juice S2 multitool:
This is an ultimate present perfection (for males, of course): small, durable (with 25 years of warranty from Leatherman) and highly useful.
Do you know how often something is needed here and there? Before having this multitool I was often puzzled what I’m to do with a light bulb exploded in a chandelier or something of the same sort.
This multitool is actually the thing I agree to carry from place to place.
